Discover Spectacular Scandinavia
Jun. 13 – Jun. 27, 2025
The dramatic masterpiece of nature that is the Norwegian Fjords is a true wonder of the world where the air is pure, the water is clear, and nature is unspoiled.
You’ll often find the fjords of western Norway at the top of annual must-see lists alongside the Pyramids of Egypt and the Grand Canyon. No photograph can ever do justice to it. It is a place that must be seen to be believed.
The evolution of the fjords began some three million years ago, when Norway was covered by an ice cap thinner along the coast than inland. With the arrival of a milder climate, the ice began to melt and produce great waterfalls that logged the soil and descended to the sea. Valleys were filled in by the ocean, creating the fjords. Surrounded now by steep, rocky mountains, dissected by cascading waterfalls, and decorated with thriving fruit trees, the fjords are among Earth's most inspiring landscapes.

Dates: Jun. 13 – Jun. 27, 2025
15 days, 22 meals
The overall activity level of this tour is a level 3. This means you’re an on-the-go traveler. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (2-3 hours) isn’t a big deal. A moderately paced twoand-a-half-hour walking tour, covering several miles, hills, and uneven surfaces, is no problem for you. Walking four miles over the course of a day is very doable, as is climbing into and out of various modes of transportation (tuk-tuk, cable car, zodiac, etc.). You can climb three flights of stairs easily and handle altitudes between 6,000 and 9,000 feet. See the brochure for more info.
